House Teams

At Boughton- under-Blean & Dunkirk, we follow a school house system. Our houses are named after trees to compliment our class names of native woodland animals.

Our houses are:

ASH (Blue)

BEECH (Yellow)

FIELD MAPLE (Red)

OAK (Green)

Each of these are trees native to Britain and each are present on our school site.

The houses help to promote friendly rivalry, competition and the opportunity for children across the school to learn with and from each other in a variety of different contexts.

Each year eight Y6 pupils are elected as house captains.

The children earn house points for good learning and behaviour. These are collected up each week by the house captains and the weekly scores shared with the whole school in our celebration assembly each Friday.

Additional house points are earned by being part of a sports team, for home learning and for competitions.
